18th Century Robe a l'Anglaise dress created as a theatre costume for Lady Sneerwell in ‘A School for Scandal’. Based on Janet Arnold patterns of fashion book 1 page 37 'Snowshill Dress'. Dress and outer petticoat in pale green and wine silk taffeta, lined with cotton and boned. Under petticoat and rump in calico, shoes and choker created to match the ensemble.
